Biography

Sean Collinge is Communications and Programme Lead within the School of Mental Health & Social Work at Â鶹´«Ã½AV University. Since joining the University in 2013, he has supported the strategic and operational delivery of major professional education programmes, working across communications, programme management, student administration, human resources, finance and stakeholder engagement.

Sean has extensive experience of supporting the entire student lifecycle, from national recruitment and specialist onboarding through to attendance, attainment, assessment, progression and completion. He has supported Department of Health and Social Care-funded qualifying social work programmes, including Think Ahead and Step Up to Social Work, developing bespoke onboarding arrangements and operational processes tailored to the requirements of intensive, employment-based routes into the profession.

His work includes monitoring and reporting against key performance indicators and developing systems to capture activity that falls outside standard university student lifecycle processes. This has included creating processes for tracking one-to-one and group tutorials, attendance, assessments, student progress and programme-level outcomes, providing colleagues and senior leaders with clearer oversight of delivery and performance.

Sean also supports School-level operations through staff recruitment and interviewing, onboarding, contracts, line management, financial administration and the procurement of goods and services. He has contributed to funding and tender submissions and works closely with funders, programme partners, the School Leadership Team and other key stakeholders. He attends delivery groups, governance boards and partnership meetings, helping to ensure that operational activity is aligned with contractual requirements, performance indicators and strategic priorities.

As the School’s communications lead, Sean advises the School Leadership Team on communications, engagement and digital strategy. He promotes the School’s achievements through website content, social media, campaigns and data-led infographics, helping to raise the profile of its teaching, research, partnerships and wider impact.

Sean holds a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing and a Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health Studies, with a professional background spanning digital communications, marketing strategy, information systems and programme operations.
